Aaron Szott is a former high school math teacher and curriculum leader with over twenty years of experience in Alberta classrooms. He now works with math teachers who feel the tension between covering curriculum and creating meaningful learning. His work centers on helping educators design both instruction and assessment practices that serve students more fairly—approaches that reduce the penalties of traditional grading and instead create opportunities for growth. With a background in assessment leadership and a deep commitment to teacher well-being, Aaron encourages small, practical shifts that ease rather than add to teachers’ workload.
