Are you a division II, III or IV teacher looking for activities relating to flow-charting, following instructions, debugging processes? Then this workshop is for you. In this session we will use manipulatives to create a flowchart for an everyday task. Then, working in groups, participants will create a series of steps for another group to follow, and finally, if time permits, we will look at some simple online coding platforms. This workshop is based on the free classroom-ready resource Applied Physics available from the Perimeter Institute of Theoretical Physics.
