Join the Injury Prevention Centre as we explore a range of free, ready-to-use resources designed to support injury prevention education in schools. This session will introduce the Brain Waves program—an engaging online neuroscience and concussion awareness resource focused on brain health and helmet safety. Educators will also gain access to the Alberta SPHEReS safety guidelines, the brand new Elementary School Injury Prevention Toolkit (aligned with the updated PEW curriculum), and a wealth of professional tools and data-driven materials. These resources integrate Canadian, Alberta, North American, and global research to help teachers confidently bring injury prevention and public health topics into the classroom—starting tomorrow.
