A Year in the Life of a Div Three/Four Art Classroom

This collaborative session will allow time for art educators to reflect, discuss and share successes and challenges within the context of the art classroom. Educators are encouraged to come prepared with a resource, project idea or an art piece/sketchbook to share, discuss and trade with like minded individuals. This open discussion style environment will create opportunities for art teachers to network and build connections with other art educators. We will discuss short term and long term planning in relation to the Alberta Art Curriculum, assessment practices, processes, approaches, materials/media in relation to a vast array of art projects to further develop and facilitate an inclusive artistic classroom community and studio environment.
